Contra Costa Electric performed new cabling installation work at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in San Francisco, CA.
The project required a significant amount of coordination between us, the general contractor, and the client, in order to minimize disruptions to the hotel’s regular operations during its peak season. We were praised for our ability to work around guest schedules, as well as the courtesy our technicians showed to the hotel guests and staff.
Client Objectives
As a provider of luxury lodging, Hyatt put the comfort of their guests and staff at the forefront of the project, emphasizing the need for a rapid installation with little interference to the hotel’s day-to-day function.
Solutions
We installed a state-of-the-art telecommunications system across 750 guest rooms, meeting rooms, conference rooms, and administration offices. The work included:
- Category 6 data cable and category 3 voice cable
- One main distribution frame (MDF) buildout
- 36 intermediate distribution frame (IDF) buildouts
- Multimode and single mode fiber and copper cabling for backbone and riser
